Coordinator Facilities Management | Scenic Rim Regional Council Beaudesert, Qld

The Coordinator Facilities Management is a key and recently created position within the Scenic Rim Regional Council's Maintenance and Operations business unit.
As the Coordinator Facilities Management, you will be responsible for efficiently and effectively managing the successful delivery and operation of Council's facilities that include Council's administration buildings, libraries, community and cultural facilities, sports facilities, swimming pools and nine Tourist Parks (camping facilities).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist technical and strategic advice on the management and operation of Council's built assets.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including community groups, to ensure the successful delivery of operational, reactive works and maintenance programs.
- Advise and consult regarding lease agreements, renewals and compliance.
- Plan, oversee and monitor the conservation, presentation and enhancements of Council's facilities.
- Develop, recommend and implement plans, programs and systems to ensure the efficient delivery of the day-to-day maintenance of, and programmed improvements to Council's built assets.
- Provide advice on policy matters and develop, implement, manage and review policies, procedures, programs, service levels and practices.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within Local Government or related entity.
- Formal qualifications in facilities management and or business management, engineering, a recognised building trade or other relevant field.
- Leadership and people management skills, cultural awareness and the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver key objectives effectively.
- Possess a strong customer service ethos - ability to influence, network, negotiate, counsel and mediate.
- Proficient in the negotiation and management of leasing agreements.
