Midcoast Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the Liveable Communities Division as a Coordinator Development Engineering. This is a critical role that offers an exciting opportunity to shape and guide a team and ensure excellent development outcomes for the communities of the Mid Coast region of NSW.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strong leadership to a team of development engineers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Manage the process of development assessments, including reviewing and evaluating proposals, ensuring compliance with regulations, standards and policies.
Enforce council standards, specifications, codes and policies in relation to infrastructure throughout the development application process.
Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders, making informed decisions and recommendations.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar discipline.
Proven experience in leadership, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving organisational goals.
Strong knowledge and experience in managing development assessments, prioritising and effectively managing multiple assessments.
In-depth understanding of council standards, specifications, codes and policies in relation to infrastructure compliance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
