Snowy Valleys Council seeks a Building Surveyor to provide expert knowledge in development assessment, certification and building inspection services to ensure effective management to the built and natural environment.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Coordinator Growth and Development, this is a key role in the organisation contributing to the local region's economical, agricultural and industrial outputs through collaborations, facilitation and education it the community.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong technical knowledge in relevant legislation, Australian Standards, council policies and procedures to ensure effective management of the built and natural environments.
- Demonstrated experience in the issue of complying development certificates for building work or change of use, construction certificates and compliance certificates
- Degree qualification in Building Surveying or equivalent, or a minimum of Category A2 accreditation under the Building Professionals Board (BPD) accreditation scheme
- Demonstrated ability to provide high standards of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
