As the Senior Works Technical Officer, you will take a leading role in developing and implementing Project, Quality and Contract management systems. In this newly created role, you have the opportunity to put your stamp on the Infrastructure Delivery department at council.
The Senior Works Technical Officer will have the challenge of creating and implementing processes and systems to deliver quality outcomes in roads and drainage construction and maintenance works projects. They also have the responsibility of developing the capability in their team to utilise the systems effectively.
The Senior Works Technical Officer engages with consultants and supervises contractors throughout the implementation and delivery of services. They manage and supervise the Works Technical Officer.
An applied understanding of MUTCD and traffic management design will be critical in the role.
The role has a responsible for technical services in maintenance and capital works for roads and drainage, and other works. The Technical Officer works collaboratively with TMR and delivers flood recovery programs.
