Isaac Regional Council is seeking a Manager Governance to work closely with the Director Corporate, Governance and Financial Services in leading the strategic and operational governance functions of Council.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a governance professional who is looking to further develop their leadership skills and to shape the future of the Council and the region through the development of key strategic plans. The Manager Governance will lead a small team in managing the operational aspects of corporate governance, corporate and operational planning and reporting, risk, internal audit and legal services.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Experience managing a governance function within a local government authority.
Extensive knowledge of Local Government legislation and procedures, including knowledge of the local government reporting framework and ensuring organisational compliance.
Superior communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with a variety of stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to resource, manage and develop a high performing team.
Formal qualifications in Business, Governance, Law or a related discipline. Qualifications in management will be highly regarded.
