Townsville City Council is seeking an experienced Asset Management professional to lead a team of seven professional staff and lead a service-led transformation in the delivery of water and waste infrastructure asset management services for the Townsville community.
Opportunities:
- Lead and influence the team's strategic focus and collaboration with operational teams.
- Be a technical leader in developing maintenance strategies for Council's water and waste assets.
- Lead and manage change initiatives to develop your team's capabilities and outputs.
- Identify opportunities to improve water and waste infrastructure asset utilisation.
- Develop and prioritise 10-year capital renewal and upgrade plan, providing value to the Townsville community.
Qualifications, experience and attributes:
- Leadership experience, highly developed communication, and problem-solving skills to manage a developing team.
- Advanced asset management skills in infrastructure asset types including asset renewal strategies, concepts, theories, techniques and principles.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, codes and asset management guidelines and standards.
- Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent) with significant experience in a similar role.
