Job Description
Gladstone Regional Council has an immediate position available for a Strategic Grants Specialist. This is a newly created role which will oversee and centralize the Grants process within all areas of the organisation.
You will use your relationship building skills to influence and proactively engage with a variety of funding groups and assist Council in developing their funding proposals. Strong governance experience is required as you will be required to build robust reports detailing progress of your proposals.
Other key operational responsibilities:
- Research available grants and provide internal advice in relation to future opportunities and trends to maximise opportunities to source external revenue for priority projects.
- Collaborate with Council business units on grant research, determination of asset needs, proposal development to identify and design innovative fundable projects that fit Council's strategies and corporate plans.
- Proactively work within Council's strategy team to develop an annual funding strategy making use of available grants, philanthropic trusts, sponsorships and other sources of funds.
- Identify, prioritise and match existing Council projects with potential funding opportunities.
