This is an ideal time to join Lockyer Valley Regional Council in the position of Senior Development Engineer. The Planning and Development Unit is working on a program of improvement and innovation to provide exceptional service standards to the local community. This position will be based in Gatton, Queensland.
As the Senior Development Engineer, you will have a leading role in the Planning and Development unit. You will utilise your professional skills as a Civil Engineer to:
- Provide leadership to engineering staff who are involved in assessing Development Applications;
- Lead assessment and inspection of operational works of the Council;
- Develop processes and procedures that continually improve the service provided to customers and reduce the time that it takes for Development Applications to be completed; and
- Provide technical and professional civil engineering advice on development matters.
You will draw on your ten or more years of professional experience as a degree qualified Civil Engineer to provide expert advice in assessing Development Applications and inspecting development works.
The Lockyer Valley region is ideally situated being less than a one hour's drive from inner city Brisbane. It straddles the Warrego Highway and covers an area of approximately 2,200 sq kms. The population is growing quickly and there are currently over 40,000 residents.
