Job Description

The Douglas Shire Council is seeking an experienced Project Manger.

The main requirement of the role is to manage the successful delivery of assigned capital works projects ensuring projects are delivered on-time and within budget. You will be responsible for the development of concept designs through to preliminary and detailed designs liaising with internal resources and external consultants through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities will include;

  • Maintaining a detailed program schedule for capital works projects
  • Coordinate the development of concept design, preliminary and detailed design.
  • Coordinate statutory approvals
  • Coordinate the tendering, evaluation and Council reporting processes
  • Coordinate external consultants and resources

Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or Construction Management.
  • Member of the Institute of Engineers Australia
  • Up to five (5) years recent professional experience including client side project management.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of relevant standards and legislation.
