Narrabri Shire Council is seeking a Manager Information Services to lead, develop and shape the IT and Communication services at Council.
Reporting to the Director Corporate and Community Services, the Manager Information Services will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of IT services to Council departments within the townships of Narrabri, Wee Waa and Boggabri in accordance with Council's Delivery Program, Operating Plan, Policies and Procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational management of IT and communication services at Council including servers, desktop operating systems, CICSO communication devices, geographic information systems, electronic records management, backup and recovery systems, MS office suite and anti-virus solutions.
- Provide leadership and management of the Information Technology (IT) team ensuring the provision of high quality, efficient and cost-effective services for Council.
- Delivery of a high quality, timely service to ensure customer and stakeholder needs for information services are met.
- Management of projects within an environment of fluctuating workloads and changing priorities.
Experience, Qualifications and Attributes
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role leading and delivering IT services to multiple sites.
- Experience building a cohesive, responsive team that delivers exceptional service.
- A forward thinking, innovative IT professional who has advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in an Information Technology related field and/or extensive demonstrated experience in scoping, planning, scheduling and implementing technical solutions in a multi-discipline, medium-size
