An exciting opportunity exists for a Manager Growth and Activation at Snowy Valleys Council. By joining this dynamic organisation, you will breathe life into urban renewal and placemaking for both the LGA and a number of diverse communities.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Executive Director Community and Corporate Services, your focus will be to set achievable growth goals and then make them happen. With experience and expertise in urban and regional planning and development, and a solid understanding of economic and community development, you will deliver a range of strategic projects within the development and place activation portfolio.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Sound technical knowledge in strategic land planning, economic development, assessment compliance, as well as community and social planning;
- Degree in Urban & Regional Planning, Economics or similar;
- Decision making skills and effective facilitation techniques to encourage open communication;
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, coach and support staff;
- A highly collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
