Job Description
Gympie Regional Council is seeking a Manager Assets to ensure Council's road assets are managed to meet the community's needs.
The position also has a lead technical role in the organisation, and has responsibility for providing advice, leadership and guidance in creating contemporary Asset Management practices across the organisation.
There are substantial change management responsibilities in this position, and the council is seeking an asset management professional who can bring expertise, innovation, and a challenging, business performance-focused mindset to the organisation.
The Manager Assets is responsible for the end-to-end management of council's Road Asset Management programme, with key responsibilities including:
- Strategic planning
- Program Development
- Engineering Survey, Design and Investigations
- Road network administration
- Asset Management Policy development
- Community engagement and customer service
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in senior asset management or roads related technical leadership position
- Degree level qualifications in Civil Engineering or other related discipline
- RPEQ registration, or ability to obtain
- Strong corporate leadership and human resource management skills
