Information Technology Officer | Balonne Shire Council | St George, Qld
Balonne Shire council is seeking a new Information Technology Officer.
This position supports, delivers and implements all of the council's information technology and communications systems, providing exemplary customer service to all council departments.
Council is undertaking a significant upgrade of their operational and communications systems over the coming year. This role will also provide assistance to the broader team as the new technologies come online.
This is a permanent role that will provide the opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their IT career in a progressive organisation that values its people and providing excellent services to the local community.

Position Responsibilities
- Become the main point of contact within the organisation for all IT and communications help desk requests
- Assist on specialised IT and communications projects
- Procurement and roll-out of IT and communications assets
- Work across IT, security and communications systems
About the Person
- Experienced in a similar role
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, proactive, and responsive with a positive attitude
- Cert III or IV Information Digital Media & Technology or higher, or other related field and / or significant demonstrated experience
- Have the ability to prioritise and organise your workload to meet deadlines
- Have a genuine desire to progress your career and develop your capabilities
