General Manager People, Culture and Safety
Gladstone Regional Council is seeking a senior and influential Human Resources leader to contribute to a high-performance culture through the delivery of an innovative, integrated people strategy.
The Opportunity
The General Manager People, Culture and Safety reports to the Chief Executive Officer and forms part of the Executive Leadership Team.
Gladstone Regional Council is continuing its transformation journey to deliver high quality services to the community. This position will form a key role in providing high-level strategic advice, along with managing hands-on operational responsibilities.
The position leads a team of professional human resources staff who support the business through an HR Business model. The team have responsibility for developing and delivering the integrated people strategy including; organisational culture, safety and wellbeing, performance assessment and accountability frameworks, strategic workforce and capability planning, innovative leadership development, talent management, diversity and inclusion, staff reward and recognition, employee engagement, training and development and customer service excellence.
This position holds a key role in building organisational capability that is aligned with Council's strategy and values and delivers a sustainable high performance culture.
