Job Description
Fraser Coast Regional Council is seeking an Executive Manager to lead their Information Services team.
The Executive Manager leads a team of 20, and oversees the development and operation of the organisation's ICT strategy and provides high-level information services to the council.
There are significant opportunities in new ICT projects, team capacity building, team capability development and organisational performance improvement in this position, as well as contribution as a leader in the council's TRAITS organisation-wide culture change project.
The Information Services team is undertaking several large-scale projects which will improve the council's service to the community. These include:
- Leadership of the review, update and renewal of council's software applications and ERP;
- Engagement with the organisation, ensuring progressive, integrated and performance focussed relationships with the functional areas of the council; and,
- Team development, building capability and creating a problem solving, outcomes-focused Information Services group.
Experience in leadership of ICT functions in local government or a government entity is desirable, and a working history that demonstrates the ability to foster an environment of organisational performance, customer service and collaboration is essential.
This is a four-year full-time executive contract position.
