Snowy Valleys Council seeks a Coordinator Growth & Development to lead the Growth and Development team to provide high standards of professional advice and a culture of outstanding customer service.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager Growth and Activation this is an outstanding opportunity to join a council that is currently undergoing an organisational transformation. The Coordinator provides high quality technical knowledge and advice in the application of local and state related legislation, practices, standards and legal precedents and ensures well-rounded development outcomes for the community.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong technical knowledge in the application of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Local Government Act, and related legislation, practices and standards and legal precedents
- Demonstrated experience leading and undertaking development and regulatory service planning within New South Wales Local Government
- Degree qualification in Urban and Regional Planning, Building Surveying or a Building Certification professional or equivalent.
- A highly collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
