North Burnett Regional Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Works Manager to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the local community and shape the future of the North Burnett Region.
About the Role
As the Civil Works Manager, you will be responsible for leading a range of civil works programs, and providing roads, bridges, drainage, disaster recovery works, aerodromes and parks and open spaces services. Key responsibilities of the role include:
Managing transport and parks and open spaces budgets, program delivery, and resources while ensuring Council objectives are met.
Developing and implementing contemporary asset management plans.
Leading a geographically diverse team, ensuring consistent and compliant approach to project management, procurement and stakeholder engagement.
Actively engaging in development of the team, including innovative recruitment and retention strategies.
Maintaining and building on existing internal and external stakeholder relationships to increase value.
Promoting health and safety measures, including training, and managing risks.
About the Person
North Burnett Regional Council is seeking a strong leader ideally with tertiary qualifications , or significant relevant working history. The ideal candidate will hold the ability to strategically plan and forecast work, be a confident communicator, astute to local government structure, with well development stakeholder management skills.
