Leading Roles is seeking a skilled and experienced local government executive to deliver performance-focused leadership of the council and community of the Hinchinbrook Shire.
The Mayor and council are experienced community leaders and are united in their vision for the Hinchinbrook region to be renowned for its wonderful lifestyle, culturally diverse communities and incredibly beautiful location.
They are keen to engage a chief executive who can work with them as a trusted advisor, to build upon the community's strengths and successes and create a contemporary, customer focused and high-performing local government organisation.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing specialist advice to the elected members on the opportunities and challenges facing the council and its community.
- Organisational leadership, tying council's vision to community outcomes through structured organisational planning and reporting.
- Ongoing organisational transformation, championing change, achieving buy-in and creating of a culture of continuous improvement and customer service.
- Building the capability and performance of the ELT as an integrated, collaborative and successful group.
Executive leadership experience, tertiary qualifications and a history of success in an executive role with a local government organisation of a similar size, scope and challenges is essential. The Council is offering an excellent executive remuneration package, reflecting the significance of this role to the organisation and the future of the Hinchinbrook community.
