Chief Corporate Officer
Paroo Shire Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Chief Corporate Officer to proactively drive change, develop innovative solutions and assist in guiding Council's sustainability into the future.
The Chief Corporate Officer leads the Corporate and Community Services Department and ensures that Council has an effective framework that promotes business excellence with a key focus on community development projects. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer, and is a member of council's executive leadership team.
The role has responsibility for leading the key customer service and organisational performance functions of the council. Responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership to the corporate planning for the organisation- ensuring that Council has an effective framework for meeting community needs that complies with legislative requirements and promotes business excellence.
- Driving key community projects - including development and planning, community safety and compliance with local laws.
- Stakeholder engagement - ensuring the Council, CEO, Management Team and organisation works effectively with the local community
- Provide effective leadership to the Corporate Services team.
Located in South West Queensland, Paroo Shire covers an area of 47,727 km2 and encompasses the towns of Cunnamulla, Eulo, Yowah, Wyandra and their surrounds. The population of the shire is approximately 1860.
