City of Gold Coast appoints new Chief Executive

Leading Roles launched a national campaign executive search to recruit a future-focussed Chief Executive for the City of Gold Coast, Australia’s second-largest council.

Leading Roles Founder and Director, Mark Ogston, said he is delighted that Tim Baker has been appointed as the new Chief Executive for City of Gold Coast.

“Tim is a highly experienced executive who has led one of the largest, most challenging and diverse portfolios in the Tasmanian government,” Mark said.

“As the City of Gold Coast Chief Executive, Tim will have a crucial role guiding major investment in public infrastructure, economic progress and community development as the Council prepares for the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2032.”

The Chief Executive recruitment campaign attracted a large and diverse field of more than 80 professionals throughout Australia.
