Job Description
Lockyer Valley Regional Council is engaging a project manager with extensive industry experience in the provision and delivery of technology based and customer focused, project delivery services in a local government setting or similar service orientated organisation.
This is an 18 Month full time / fixed term contract with possible extension.
The objective of this position is to lead, manage and deliver the Technology One Property & Rating CiA Upgrade project within Lockyer Valley Regional Council. The successful applicant will manage the project from its inception to implementation. The project will take approximately 18 months and is a key initiative of LVRC in being an early adopter of this technology within local government organisations.
Your previous experience in a similar role is critical along with broad project management skills including; Stakeholder and employee management, financial and budget management, project strategy, planning and negotiating. The ability to effectively organise and prioritise multiple tasks, often with conflicting priorities, to meet rigid deadlines will see you succeed in this role.
You will require exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to create and foster a positive environment that promotes and achieves effective, customer-focused outcomes and team performance across a wide range of stakeholders. You will possess highly professional communication, presentation and workshop facilitation skills with the ability to facilitate workshops, engage, negotiate, and communicate with stakeholders, manage issues, celebrate successes, and meet changing organisational needs.
You will be customer service focused, understanding of the relevance and development of technology and information systems in a service-orientated organisation.

Required skills and abilities:

Broad project management skills including; stakeholder and employee management, financial and budget management, project strategy, planning and negotiating.

Analytical skills and advanced technical knowledge in the management of technology implementation and change projects.

Excellent interpersonal skills and polished communication, presentation and workshop facilitation skills.

Good judgement and initiative in the application of established work procedures to achieve positive customer focused outcomes.
Education and Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Project Management and extensive industry experience in the provision and delivery of technology based and customer focused, project delivery services in a local government setting or similar service orientated organisation.

Demonstrated experience in successfully managing and delivering Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other Information, Communication & Technology projects

IT qualifications extensive proven experience, will be highly regarded.

Any experience working with Technology One implementation and upgrade projects will be highly regarded.

A current driver's licence (Class C).
