Job Description
The Project Engineer Water and Waste is a key operational role in Tablelands Regional Council's Infrastructure Services team. The position will champion the project management of Council's water, wastewater and waste infrastructure projects, as well as contribute to the strategic planning of these important assets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Management of capital and operational projects with a focus on providing efficient service delivery at agreed service levels;
- Review and advice of the alignment between infrastructure requirements and future capital works planning;
- Procurement and contract administration for water and waste projects, including the coordination of external consultants;
- Provision of professional engineering advice and technical support to Council staff and stakeholders.
The role requires an engineer experienced in all phases of the project management of water and wastewater and waste assets, from concept through to completion, including managing the design, procurement and construction phase, and providing site supervision and contract administration. Your knowledge of local government operations and quality management systems will be critical for your success in this position.
Your strong experience in project management will see you succeed in a team dedicated to excellence and innovation. You will enjoy working to achieve outcomes as opposed to working to simply complete a task. Your positive attitude and willingness to contribute will ensure job satisfaction.
Degree level qualifications in engineering and a Queensland Construction White Card are required, and RPEQ accreditation is highly regarded.
You must be an Australian Citizen or hold the appropriate visa to work in Australia to apply for this role.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be part of a forward thinking, progressive and inclusive organisation. If you are looking for a role where your contribution is valued, leadership is supportive of new ideas and innovation is encouraged, then this could be your best move yet!
