About the Role
This Regional Skills Investment Strategy project is proudly supported and funded by the Queensland Government.
Tablelands Regional Council has entered into a partnership with the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT) to undertake a two year regional engagement and collaboration project funded through the Regional Skills Investment Strategy (RSIS) that will foster local partnerships and support local economic and employment opportunities in the Tablelands Regional Council local government area.
Tablelands Regional Council are seeking a Project Coordinator to lead the Tablelands Regional Skills Investment Strategy Project. The purpose of the role is to identify local workforce training and skills needs for current and emerging jobs in targeted industries and develop solutions to ensure there is a supply of skilled local people to meet this demand.
This project will focus on the regions key industry sectors of Agriculture, Retail and Health and Community Services. The Project Coordinator will actively engage with a range of local stakeholders to promote the objectives of RSIS and in partnership with DESBT, develop training solutions that are tailored to the Tablelands Region.

- A knowledge of the business community in the Tablelands region would be highly regarded
- Comprehensive understanding of the VET Sector
