Mechanic - Queensland

- Experience rural Queensland for two months, with accommodation provided
Leading Roles is seeking an experienced Mechanic for our local government client in South West Queensland. This is a minimum 2-month contract with accommodation provided.
The Mechanic will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Council's workshop, plant, equipment and vehicles.
Ideally, you will have experience with the following:
- Plants - Graders, Roller, Bobcat, Lawn Mowers, Sweepers, Excavator
- Trucks - ISUZU, Toyota
- Vehicles - Toyota Hilux, Land cruisers, Colorado, Isuzu.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain and repair heavy plant, equipment and light vehicles
- Actively conduct mechanical maintenance of fleet vehicles, heavy plant and equipment
- Maximise the availability of fixed and mobile plant and equipment
- Assist with the efficient operation of the mechanical workshop
- Assist with programming the service schedule of all fleet, heavy plant and equipment
Essential skills and experience:
- Current trade certifications in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle) or Engineering Mechanical Trade (Heavy Plant Mechanic)
- Current C class drivers licence, higher class would be an advantage
- White Card - General Safety Induction
