The Douglas Shire Council is seeking a Mechanic.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the Council's fleet, plant and equipment.

Essential Skills and experience include:

  • Diesel Fitter/Motor Mechanic - trade qualifications.
  • Current Queensland Driver's Licence.
  • Experience with computerised maintenance systems including databases, spreadsheets, online computer APPS and mobile tablet technology.
  • Experience in small plant maintenance, including front deck mowers

Team fit will be critical to success in this role. Council are seeking candidates who can demonstrate integrity, maturity, excellent communication skills and keenness to work collaboratively with an established and high performing team.
