Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver high quality development outcomes across the State of Queensland.

The Development Assessment Division is responsible for providing planning and policy support to colleagues from the Planning and Development Services group and technical agencies who are also undertaking development assessment roles as the State Assessment Referral Agency (SARA).

The Development Assessment Division ensures that the State's role in development assessment embodies best practice planning and supports the broader planning reform agenda. The division is responsible for administering SARA - the department's one-stop-shop for the assessment of development applications where a state planning jurisdiction applies, and for managing development assessment across the State.

You will be involved in a range of functions and projects that seek to ensure social, environmental and economic wellbeing within Queensland's regional and urban communities.
