The Manager Roads and Transport is a key leadership role that translates the strategy and corporate goals of the Tablelands Regional Council into operations and infrastructure that services the community's current and future needs.
Opportunities and Challenges of the Role
The manager will offer contemporary leadership to a high performing and engaged capital works and infrastructure maintenance team in council's Roads and Transport division.
Lead and develop a positive organisational culture focused on continuous development and improvement, investigating and adopting technology and innovative practises to improve asset and organisational performance.
Develop the future leaders of the organisation, building management capability, safety culture and a focus on high performance and customer service
This role will suit an experienced senior infrastructure leader who approaches their work and relationships with a structured, planned and organised personal approach.
Personal integrity, a strong sense of accountability, a willingness to lead and complete change, and a roving, continuous improvement focus will ensure success in this position.
Experience, Qualifications and Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, post graduate qualification in business management and significant relevant work experience at a senior management level will be highly regarded.

The Tablelands Regional Council serves a community of 25,000 and is located in Atherton, in Queensland. The council is a progressive organisation whose key strategic goals include enabling strong economies, vibrant communities, smart centres and long-term planning towards Council 2050.
