Local Laws Ranger - South West Queensland

Leading Roles is seeking an experienced Local Laws Ranger for our local government client in South West Queensland. This is a minimum 3-month contract with possible extension and accommodation provided.
The Local Laws Ranger will work closely with the Manager Rural Services and Compliance. You will be responsible for the compliance of local laws and animal management in the public area and ensure council policies and procedures are adhered to. You will be required to undertake routine patrols as required.
Essential skills and experience:
- Experience in a similar compliance or enforcement position with a sound knowledge of local government functions
- Experience interpreting and applying acts, regulations, local laws, codes and standards
- Strong understanding of the Animal management Act
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Previous experience working in a local government will be highly regarded.
