The City of Coffs Harbour is entering a critical phase of organisational alignment, capability uplift and performance improvement.
Following the appointment of a new General Manager, Council is focused on strengthening how the organisation operates including improving systems, governance and internal service delivery to support consistent and effective outcomes. This role is central to that effort.
As Director Business Services, you will lead Council’s corporate and enabling services portfolio, including ICT, legal and governance, communications and commercial operations. You will play a key role in ensuring the organisation has the systems, capability and discipline required to deliver on its strategic priorities.
This is a role focused on organisational performance, how decisions are supported, how risks are managed and how internal services enable delivery across the business.
Key priorities include;
Strengthening ICT governance and cyber resilience,
Improving integration across systems and data,
Lifting the consistency and responsiveness of internal services,
Enhancing the performance of commercial operations and assets.
You will also contribute to improving organisational planning, reporting, and governance frameworks, ensuring that councillors and executives are supported by clear, reliable information.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will work across the organisation to build alignment, strengthen capability and support a more disciplined and accountable operating environment.
We are seeking an experienced executive with a background in corporate, business, or enabling services within a complex organisation. You will bring strong commercial and strategic capability, sound judgement and experience improving systems, governance and organisational performance.
