Job Description

Mareeba Shire Council is seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled project and contract management professional (Coordinator Contracts) who can lead their project delivery team.

In this role you will have the opportunity to oversee major civil and construction projects. You will use your experience in Civil Engineering Projects to deliver major works, including the $23M Mareeba Airport upgrade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract authoring;
  • Contract Management;
  • Management of the Projects, RMPC and NDRRA teams;
  • Provide support and advice on technical aspects of contracts and project plans; and
  • End-to-end project coordination.

The key requirement is strong experience in managing diverse civil engineering projects. While a tertiary qualification in Project Management or Civil Engineering (Bachelor Degree, Associate Degree or similar) would be desirable, it is not essential.

On offer is an attractive base salary, Mareeba allowance, up to 12% superannuation, five weeks annual leave and a 19-day month (1 RDO every four weeks). The role will expose you to a very broad range of projects and so affords you great experience and professional development.
